I made my very first batch of homemade preserves today and it actually turned out pretty well.

Wegmans has the ‘sweet to eat’ nectarines available for 99 cents per pound.  I also got the Ball Pectin single packets FREE at Wegmans with the $1/1 Ball Pectin coupon from the 6/3 SmartSource insert.  I got a 4pk of Ball preserves containers on clearance last year for $1.99.

It only took me about 10 minutes to make the batch and it was really easy and fun.  My son is working on his second helping of toast with nectarine preserves so I guess I have his stamp of approval 🙂

What types of preserves and jams do you like to make?  I would love to try something else.
